STCE-RTU Telecontrol Device
SCOPE OF TRAINING:
- Knowledge of architecture and functioning of STCE/RTU telecontrol devices
- Faults finding and maintenance of devices
- Configuration, managing and maintenance from remote of devices
TARGET ATTENDEES: engineers and technicians which configure and keep the system. They can take care of device wiring and field connections problems, make the first level intervention on STCE-RTU devices in case of fault, perform extraordinary maintenance of the system from field, when this implies to modify STCE-RTU device software personalization
REQUIREMENTS: to attend the training, it is required to have some basic pc notions.
NUMBER OF ATTENDANTS: group of up to 10 people suggested
PRACTISE: practical maintenance exercises are part of the of the training. To allow practise module at least half of attendees must have a pc. Training classroom will be also provided with STCE/RTU device, manteinance pc and field simulator, projector.
DOCUMENTATION: attendant will receive slides pack and technical documentation in electronic format.

- Reading of local signallings on STCE-RTU units
- Acquisition of the diagnostic information from personal computer

- Device SW structure
- Introduction to the communication protocols used in the system
- SOFTWARE CONFIGURATION OF STCE-RTU DEVICE (PART 1)
- Structure and data organizing
- Creations of a database configuration, settings of principal parameters, operative flow
DAY 3
- SOFTWARE CONFIGURATION OF STCE-RTU DEVICE (PART 2)
- Specific procedure to modify/configure of single typologies of I/O points
- Device connection mode (local, remote) and user managing
- Configuration file transfer procedure to the device (Download function)
- Configuration file acquiring procedure from device (Upload function)
- Configuration file updating (Aggimp function)
DAY 4 AND DAY 5
All attendees having a pc will be provided with a trial version of Configuration software (only for didactic purpose).
- EXERCISES
- Exercitation of STCE/RTU device configuration
- Creating and modify of configuration file
- Transfer procedure (DownloadRTU) of realize configuration (from local and from remote)
- Exercitation to uses of maintenance SW instruments:
- Diagnostic data viewing and field status (runtime) and field events by WebServer (local connection and remote connection)
- Substitution and update of central unit:
- Possible procedures of FW update on central unit (by Hyper Terminal – local and by Web Server -remote)
- Procedure of configuration file trasfert on central unit (download)
- Procedure of acquiring of configuration file from central unit (upload)
- Substitution and update of I/O units:
- Fault finding modality
- Procedure of alignment of card by hardware settings
